Sunshine Inn Expands it's Property Holdings
In the 1970's Kim Tran left Vietnam for Canada. Over time, he settled in Burns Lake - a small community of 2,800 located a comfortable two-and-a-half hour drive west of Prince George along Highway 16. After working at a number of different jobs in the area, Kim saw the need for a new, modern, hotel in the community. Today, the Burns Lake Sunshine Inn is a popular stop for area tourists and business travelers alike.
In 2008, Kim opened a second Sunshine Inn. Located just ninety minutes away in downtown Smithers, this property is characterized by spacious rooms with all the amenities that one would expect from a much more expensive boutique hotel.
Kim is bullish on the economy of northern BC and is actively investigating development opportunities for additional Sunshine Inn locations in Terrace and Prince George. He trusts his instincts about the hotel business and feels the key to their success is to continue emphasizing customer service and affordable comfort.
